When I left my job in March 2024, I was mentally and emotionally exhausted, and struggling with low confidence from what seemed like one failure after another. But working with wellness and mindfulness programs will teach you one very important thing: all we have is the present moment. Feeling better, doing better & being better is not about living in the future or seeking some higher form of being, but living fully in the present moment and responding to this very moment as your most integrated self. Better is not next; it’s now.
I decided to the create this site to give myself a space to work through and document how I’m experiencing and responding to the world around me. From books and music to mindfulness practices, I’m using this space to share my personal thoughts and opinions on what I’m engaging with in the moment. In no way do I intend to give a full picture of my inner life. I do hope to satisfy my need to share what I’m interested in “out loud” in a way that feels organized and logical.
I’m excited to share these pieces from my life. Even though this blog will likely remain mostly unknown, I’m also excited to see how documenting my life in this way impacts my attentiveness and experience of each moment.
